Answer

In my capacity as Prime Minister, I am the responsible minister for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). I regularly request and receive advice from officials on a range of matters. I have received no formal briefings from officials regarding the remarks made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Parliament on 29 July 2026. My Chief of Staff, however, received an email from the Cabinet Office on 30 July 2026 relating to the Cabinet Manual in this context.
