Answer

In my capacity as Prime Minister, I am the responsible minister for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). I regularly request and receive advice from officials on a range of matters. I have received no advice from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade concerning the remarks made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Parliament on 29 July 2026. Aside from the advice provided to my Chief of Staff on 30 July 2026 relating to the Cabinet Manual in the context of the remarks made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Parliament on 29 July 2026, no other advice from DPMC has been provided on the matter.
