Answer
Following a recommendation from the Ministry of Education (the Ministry), I have agreed to the Ministry undertaking a wide-ranging review of its school transport policy settings. While this work is underway, I have agreed with the Ministry’s advice to pause the implementation of the Term 2, 2026 changes to its Gisborne school bus services. This is also my response to written parliamentary questions 7326 and 7327 (2026).
