Has the Minister asked for advice on the feasibility of banning the sale of new corded window coverings; if not, why not?

Hon Scott Simpson

Answer
No. I have instead sought advice from officials on alternative regulatory options to address the risk posted to children, including mandatory safety standards for corded window coverings as recommended by coroners' reports.
