Answer
Under the Trade (Safeguard Measures) Act 2014, MBIE carries out the investigation and provides me with information and advice to support my decision. The Aluminium Extruders Association of New Zealand (ALENZ) requested consideration of a possible provisional safeguard duty. I received advice on this on 4 August. Following further submissions from ALENZ, I requested further advice from officials on 18 August, which I received on 1 September.
