  • Did Kāinga Ora's Board approve the tender policy change that saw Kāinga Ora switch from seeking appraisals from three different local real estate agents before choosing one agent to market a property to appointing a master agent to market properties and if so, on what date?

Answer

Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that its Procurement Policy is predicated on the NZ Government Procurement Rules that stipulate any contract over $100,000 should go to open market tender (unless exemptions qualify). For the risk and value of this contract, Board approval was not required under the Kāinga Ora Financial Delegations Register.
