What public engagement surveys, if any, have been completed regarding the use of artificial intelligence in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, since 27 November 2023?

Hon Simon Watts
Member for North Shore · National Party · Minister of Climate Change
Answer
I am advised that the Climate Change Commission and New Zealand Green Investment Finance Limited have not completed any public engagement surveys about the use of artificial intelligence. I am not responsible for any other departments, agencies, Crown entities, or other bodies. For MFAT, I refer the Member to the Minister of Foreign Affairs response to WPQ 34064 (2026). For the Ministry for the Environment, I refer the Member to the Minister for the Environment’s response to Written Parliamentary Question 34224 (2026). On 1 July 2026, the Ministry for the Environment merged into the new Ministry for Cities, Environment, Regions and Transport (MCERT). Responsibility for MCERT sits with the Minister Responsible for RMA Reform. For MCERT I refer the Member to the Minister Responsible for RMA's response to Written Parliamentary Question 34003 (2026).
