Answer

I have not received advice on the ‘average period’ between relicensing a retirement village unit and repayment of the outgoing resident’s capital. I note that, under the Retirement Villages Code of Practice 2008, retirement village operators must pay all money owing to a former resident no later than five working days after the date the operator receives payment in full from the new resident.
