Answer
I am advised that the NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) spent $3.758 million on the Road to Zero public awareness campaign in the 2021/22 financial year. Further detail on wider educational and promotional campaigns to support the goals of Road to Zero is available in an OIA response published on the NZTA website: https://www.nzta.govt.nz/assets/About-us/docs/oia-2023/OIA-11860-response-jamie-ensor.pdf
