Answer

On 10 March 2026, my predecessor Hon Scott Simpson wrote to Dr John Small, the Commission Chair, requesting that the Commission increase the frequency of its fuel price monitoring in light of the Middle East conflict. On 11 March 2026, Dr Small provided a response letter to Hon Simpson, advising him that the Commission has increased the frequency of its monitoring and is now publishing weekly fuel price movements on its website.
