Answer
The information sought by the Member is not collated by the Ministry of Education in a way that is readily reportable in the timeframe available to respond to written parliamentary questions. I am advised that in 2024/25, the New Zealand Qualification’s Authority (NZQA) conducted its quarterly ongoing customer satisfaction survey from 1 July to 30 June, using the Qualtrics survey tool. The survey was conducted in-house, with no applicable cost. This quarterly ongoing customer satisfaction survey continued in 2025/26, utilising the same tool and with no applicable cost. Information relating to surveys commissioned by NZQA in 2023/24 was provided in response to Annual Review questions. Surveys commissioned by Education New Zealand since 27 November 2023 are provided in the attached table. I am advised that the Education Review Office undertakes a programme of national education reviews as part of its core responsibilities. Each review includes surveys of teachers, students, and parents. All associated costs are met through baseline funding.
