Answer

I am advised that the Department of Conservation undertakes a range of advertising and promotional campaigns, including vital campaigns to promote health and safety for those visiting conservation land and to inform New Zealanders and international visitors about our nationwide network of huts and tracks. This includes work to develop and publish advertising material, radio advertising, audio-visual material, printed material, and social media material to ensure that a broad range of the public hear these important messages. The breakdown by financial year of the Department’s advertising and promotional campaigns and media monitoring is attached.
