Officials advise that consultants are engaged to deliver agreed outcomes or to manage a service. As such, engagements are not typically on an hourly or daily rate basis. Contractors are typically engaged at a daily rate. Inland Revenue has less than 5 contractors with a daily rate that currently exceeds $200 per hour. Their start dates vary between 2022 and 2025.
