Answer

I am advised that since 27 November 2023, Police has paid out $10,973,895 in redundancy payments, including in cases of voluntary redundancy. This represents 180 positions. Due to an ongoing overhaul in the database of funded Police positions, a verified total number of disestablished positions since this date is not currently available. The Serious Fraud Office (SFO), has initiated one change process since 27 November 2023, which concluded on 1 October 2024 and resulted in 11 roles being disestablished and four permanent staff being made redundant. The SFO did not pay any redundancy compensation to staff, but did provide outplacement support to people made redundant, the total cost of which was $6,450.
