Answer
I refer the Member to the evidence provided by Te Puni Kōkiri to Māori Affairs Select Committee during its 2023/24 Annual Review, published on the Parliament website Question 4 (see https://www3.parliament.nz/en/pb/sc/submissions-and-advice/document/54SCMAOC_EVI_26cef304-d16e-499e). I am also advised by Te Puni Kōkiri that in 2024/25 it commissioned independent reviews, including the Waitangi Tribunal Legislation Review Independent Technical Advisory Group, Specialist Advisory Group – Māori Language Sector and the Independent Review into Alleged Inappropriate Use of Whānau Ora funds.
