Answer

I refer the Member to the Ministry of Justice’s evidence to the Justice Committee during its 2023/24 annual review and 2025/26 estimates examination of the Ministry’s performance, available on the Parliament website: www.parliament.nz/resource/en-NZ/54SCJUST_EVI_9aee68a1-fdfc-47f0-6508-08dcfd0f043f_JUST34837/b06bf5b7131db3d5651f8b10277cad4d992e2987 The Ministry’s response to Question 15 provides information for the period 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2024. For information post June 2024, I refer to the Speaker’s Ruling 199/6, I do not consider it to be in the public interest to undertake an exercise to identify and collate the material requested, as it will require a significant diversion of resource. The Member may wish to consider asking a more specific question.
