How many Fire and Emergency New Zealand call outs were unpaid volunteer firefighters required to respond to as a result of ongoing strike action, if any?

Hon Brooke van Velden
Member for Tāmaki · ACT Party · Minister of Internal Affairs
Answer
I am advised that cumulatively, NZPFU members have participated in 19 hours of full withdrawal of labour. In total, 161 volunteer appliances have been dispatched in areas impacted by the strike (i.e. where paid firefighters would respond in normal circumstances).
