Answer

The New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) contributes to a number of missions across the Middle East Region as detailed publicly: https://www.nzdf.mil.nz/nzdf/operations-and-engagements/. The costs of these missions are met from existing NZDF baseline funding. The cost of the NZDF deployment in support of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade consular operations is approximately $860,000.
