On what date, if at all, was he first notified that changes had been made to the agreement between Kāinga Ora and the Hutt City Council about how a stormwater project funded through the Infrastructure Acceleration Fund would be delivered?

Answer

I have interpreted the Member’s question to relate to the decision to transfer Infrastructure Acceleration Fund funding from the Hutt City stormwater project to the City Link bridge project. My office received the briefing “Variation Request to IAF Funding Agreement with Hutt City Council, Riverlink Development [GSR-25-18517]” on 12 March 2025 which I signed on 17 March 2025. Kāinga Ora subsequently approved the variation with Hutt City Council. This is also my answer to WPQ 8521 (2026).
