Question

Does Statistics New Zealand keep data on the impact of climate change on CPI?

Answered by

Hon Dr Shane Reti

Member for Whangārei · National Party · Minister of Statistics

Answer

I am advised by Stats NZ that while it publishes the Consumers Price Index (CPI) and co-produce New Zealand’s official environmental reporting, Stats NZ does not produce a dataset showing how climate change affects specific items in the CPI.
