What advice, if any, has he received to substantiate his claim that the reduction in emissions in the September 2025 quarter due to renewable energy generation has been driven by the Fast-track legislation?

Answer
The September quarter emissions data was the lowest recorded since 2010, and that reflects the fact that we are seeing more renewable electricity generation in the system. The Government’s fast track approvals legislation is helping drive confidence in the New Zealand renewables sector and will remove barriers to investment. I did not state that the September-quarter emissions reduction was a direct result of the legislation.
