I refer the member to the attached table, which shows the Corrections Officer to prisoner ratio for each prison as at 31 January 2026. I am advised that facts and statistics relating to prisoner-on-prisoner and prisoner-on-staff assaults are released quarterly and are publicly available on Corrections’ website at: https://www.corrections.govt.nz/resources/statistics/assaults_in_prisons.
