Answer

Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that it should not charge a tenant for appliances or chattels that are replaced due to fair wear and tear. In instances where a tenant may be incorrectly charged for replacement of an appliance or chattel, Kāinga Ora will discuss this with the tenant and reverse/remove any such charge.
