Since 6 November 2025, I have received the following two papers from the Ministry of Justice regarding the potential effects of closing enrolment before advance voting begins on voter turnout: • 28 November 2025: Electoral Amendment Bill: House materials • 11 December 2025: OPQ – Electoral Amendment Bill These papers did not provide any updated advice beyond what was provided to the Justice Committee.
