Answer

The Director of Regulation position was established following amendments to the Education and Training Act. The Ministry of Education (the Ministry) advertised the role as a six month fixed term appointment, with the vacancy posted for five working days in accordance with the Ministry’s recruitment policy. This is also my response to written parliamentary questions 7112 and 7113 (2026).
