Answer

I am advised by the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) that the, University of Waikato | Te Whare Wānanga o Waikato applied for School Onsite Training Programme (SOTP) funding for: • 48 primary places and 114 secondary places for the 2026 academic year. For 2025, existing providers from the 2023 and 2024 rounds, the University of Waikato and the University of Auckland, were each funded for 50 secondary places. As these were extensions of existing contracts, there was no application process for these allocations.
