I have been advised by the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) that Waipapa Taumata Rau | University of Auckland applied for School Onsite Training Programme (SOTP) funding for: • 100 primary places (including two Māori-medium places) and 78 secondary places (including 13 Māori-medium places) for the 2026 academic year. For 2025, existing providers from the 2023 and 2024 rounds, the University of Waikato and the University of Auckland were each funded for 50 secondary places. As these were extensions of existing contracts, there was no application process for these allocations
