Why did the Ministry of Education not release Te Ao Māori for consultation at the same time as the draft Te Marautanga o Aotearoa framework and other Year 0-10 wāhanga ako?

Answer
The Ministry released the draft Te Marautanga o Aotearoa framework and the other Year 0–10 wāhanga ako as soon as they were ready, rather than delaying the whole package. Te Ao Māori required additional development time to ensure it met the quality standards expected for consultation, so it was not released at the same time. Taking this additional time is important to provide kura and whānau with the best possible version to review.
