Rt Hon Winston Peters

Answer

The vast majority of funding for the rail network is for asset maintenance and renewals. Indeed, the total level of investment is $1.3 billion over the current three year RNIP while the next three-year RNIP is scheduled to be presented, reviewed and approved for the FY28-FY30 period. In any case, the granular level of detail requested cannot be provided in the timeframe available to answer a Written Parliamentary Question.
