Answer

Year 11-13 curriculum subjects are currently being developed. As communicated on the Ministry of Education’s website, the Ministry intends to release the draft subject curriculum in the first part of 2026 for wider feedback: https://web-assets.education.govt.nz/s3fs-public/2025-12/Phase-5-Curriculum-Development-Overview.pdf?VersionId=UsloDuUIl6rqR3v29izXshlbett_NKRt. The specific development and consultation timeline will be shared with the sector and wider public once confirmed. This is also my response to Written Parliamentary question 6144 (2026).
