Answer

Social housing places funded under Budget 2024 are expected to be delivered by June 2027. As at the end of November 2025, I am advised that for Budget 2024 and 2025 funded social housing places that were delivered, approved or under evaluation, 57 percent were build-to-own. In accordance with Speaker's Ruling 210/6, I do not consider the time and expense of officials retrospectively calculating the percentages of Build-to-Own and build to lease at various times, or collating percentages from subsets of over 2,000 social housing places, to be in the public interest.
