Answer

The Tourism and Major Events package was designed to grow international visitor numbers, deliver economic growth, and position New Zealand as a major events and tourism destination. Treasury was consulted during the development of the package. Any further questions about Treasury advice should be directed to the Minister of Finance. Evaluation of the Tourism and Major Events package has not begun due to the recency of the investment.
