What process, if any, was followed for the appointment of Raewyn Lovett as Chair of Sport and Recreation New Zealand (Sport NZ) Board?

Raewyn Lovett was appointed as Chair of the Sport New Zealand Board in July 2023, after serving as Deputy Chair since August 2021 and member since July 2018. I am advised that her appointment to the position fulfilled appropriate and timely succession planning following the resignation of her predecessor. The appointment was made in accordance with Schedule 5 of the Crown Entities Act 2004 and the appointment proceeded through Cabinet processes in accordance with the Public Service Commission’s appointments guidelines.
