What is the current level of compliance, if any, within the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, with NZ Government Web Standards, which require public sector websites to be accessible?

As Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology, I have no responsibility for any government departments. With regard to agencies, Crown entities and any other bodies under the Science, Innovation and Technology portfolio, I am advised that Crown Research Institutes must have regard to whole of government directions and are not mandated under NZ Government Web Standard. In regard to Callaghan Innovation, its public website has been developed with reference to the New Zealand Government Web Standards. The site includes an accessibility statement and provides a contact point for users who experience difficulty accessing content.
