Answer
I am advised that since 2023, Corrections has participated in the Department of Internal Affairs-led Central Web Accessibility Checker (CWAC) programme which provides regular, automated auditing of accessibility compliance across Corrections’ websites. I am further advised that as of September 2025, the Corrections had an overall ‘CWAC score’ of 66. The most recent CWAC report for Corrections, issued on 17 December 2025, identified 14 unique accessibility issues affecting 1,151 pages across five websites. A programme of work is underway to address these issues and lift Corrections’ compliance with New Zealand Government Web Standards.
