I can refer a project if I am satisfied it meets the referral criteria in section 22 of the Fast-track Approval Act 2024. I must decline a project if I consider I do not have adequate information to inform my decision. I may also decline a project if I consider a project will have significant adverse effects on the environment. It is not appropriate for me to discuss the details of a project or my consideration of the referral application before I have made my decision.
