What advice has the Minister had, if any, on a review of fleet management, to be undertaken by Australian consultants, Tiger Spider, and is she confident in the terms of reference, given that the New Zealand Fire Fighters' Union is saying that their fleet representatives weren't engaged in developing the review?

Answer

Fire and Emergency officials have advised me that Tiger Spider was engaged to provide independent assurance and advice to the Chief Executive and Board on end-to-end fleet management. The review covers fleet issues, key risks, priority interventions, governance, procurement, asset management and the effectiveness of the operating model. I have not seen or helped develop the terms of reference because this is an operational matter for Fire and Emergency.
