Question

  • How many proposals to the Proceeds of Crime Fund, if any, have been declined since 27 November 2023, broken down by funding round, submitting agency, region in which the initiative was to be delivered, and amount sought?

Answer

I am advised the Ministry of Justice (the Ministry) does not publicly release information about unsuccessful applications to the Proceeds of Crime Fund where doing so may disclose commercially sensitive or confidential information. The June 2025 funding round is the only completed round within the period specified for which funding decisions have been announced. In addition, three proposals were approved out-of-cycle - either by Cabinet or by responsible Ministers. Fifteen proposals were declined in that round. A further funding round has recently been completed; however, funding decisions have not yet been publicly announced.
