Answer
As Minister of Transport, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on a range of matters. MCERT and NZTA publish monthly lists of titles of advice provided to me (refer to https://www.transport.govt.nz/about-us/our-corporate-publications/proactive-releases/results and https://www.nzta.govt.nz/about-us/advice-provided-to-ministers). Some of the titles may not be released if they relate to the provision of free and frank advice or are under active consideration. Furthermore, staff in my Office may informally receive documents, including draft advice, from officials and other Ministers' Offices. This information is not held in a format that can be easily extracted within the timeframe. I have also received the below briefings: - T2026-1775 Aide Memoire: KiwiRail and Ferry Holdings performance for the six months to 30 June 2026 (3/09/2026)
