Answer

The total estimated expenditure for my attendance, and that of my accompanying staff, at the 2026 PIF is $6,616 (CAB-26-MIN-0275 refers). These costs will be met from the Vote Internal Affairs (Members of the Executive – Travel) appropriation and exclude air travel provided by the RNZAF. Due to the timing of the PIF, the Department has advised that not all costs have been accounted for yet. Ministers’ travel expenses are published in aggregate each quarter on the Department’s website. Accordingly, expenses related to this trip will be included in the November 2026 quarterly publication of Ministers’ expenses.
