Answer

On 29 April 2026, I received advice noting officials' intention to provide me with a draft Cabinet paper on the proposed phase-out, following decisions by the previous Minister for the Environment to proceed to Cabinet for further decision on the policy. On 16 June 2026, I received advice on a draft Cabinet paper for my consideration.
