Answer

Neither I, nor officials from the Ministry for Cities, Environment, Regions and Transport, met with any environmental non-governmental organisation regarding the phase out of PVC and polystyrene in food and beverage packaging between 7 April 2026 and 25 August 2026. Targeted engagement on the proposed phase-out occurred prior to April 2026.
