Answer

Ministry for Cities, Environment, Regions & Transport: I refer the member to the Minister for the Environment’s response to written parliamentary question 39144 (2026) and the Minister Responsible for RMA Reform’s response to written parliamentary question 38966 (2026). Climate Change Commission: I am advised that the Climate Change Commission has not initiated any redundancy processes since 27 November 2023. The Commission carried out three internal change processes during 2023/24, some of which resulted in redundancies. Details are available in the Commission’s response to Question 1 of the 2023/24 Annual Review questions here. NZGIF: Since 27 November 2023, NZGIF has initiated 5 separate redundancy processes, affecting 22 employees. For the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, I refer the member to the Minister of Foreign Affairs response to written parliamentary question 26460 (2026).
