Answer

Neither my office nor I received any correspondence from an organisation in opposition to the proposed phase-out of PVC, polystyrene and PVdC in food and beverage packaging during the period from 7 April 2026 to 25 August 2026. Stakeholders consulted during officials' targeted engagement in 2025 were generally supportive of addressing these hard-to-recycle plastics.
