I am advised that Police spent approximately $66.324 million on contractors and consultants between 1 July 2024 and 30 June 2025. Police is currently unable to reliably distinguish between contractor and consultant spending, as expenditure is reported on a combined contractor and consultant basis, consistent with reporting provided to the Public Service Commission. The figure provided therefore includes both contractor and consultancy expenditure and should not be interpreted as consultancy expenditure alone. The Serious Fraud Office spent $243,479 on consultancy costs from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025.
