Answer

I am advised that Customs does not separately record or report expenditure on consultants and contractors. Accordingly, the figures provided in the attached appendix represent the combined Customs expenditure on consultants and contractors for the 2024/25 and 2025/26 financial years, including both operating and capital expenditure. This is also my response to Written Parliamentary Question 38693 (2026).
