Answer
I am advised that for the 2024/25 financial year, the Ministry for Primary Industries spent an estimated total of $103,200 on artificial intelligence related costs. This comprised $7,200 for Microsoft Copilot licences and $96,000 for the investigation phase for the fish detection and artificial intelligence research algorithms project for the On-Board Cameras programme. No other costs associated with artificial intelligence are known at this time.
