Answer

The January 2025 Gateway Review identified uncertainty regarding both immediate and ongoing funding as a key delivery risk. It identified the need for funding through to July 2025 and for ongoing funding thereafter through to programme completion. Following the review, the programme scope was reduced to enabling an open RUC provider market and de-labellisation. NZ Transport Agency subsequently approved a programme budget of $15.4 million for the 2025/2026 and 2026/27 financial years.
