Answer

Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that their annual budget sets out the approved housing delivery programme, including planned new social homes (through redevelopment or acquisition), property sales, lease expiries, and demolitions. The resulting unit delivery programme is then used to determine the required capital budget for each financial year and inform interest and debt projections. While proceeds from surplus land sales will be used for new housing investment and/or reducing our forecast debt requirements, it is not possible to provide a breakdown of how much has been applied to each purpose.
