In response to Reply 35160 (2026), did the Student Monitoring, Assessment and Reporting Tool (SMART) Certification and Accreditation process include authorisation or access-control testing to determine whether trial accounts could access live production reporting data; if not, why not?

Answer

No. I am advised by the Ministry of Education that the Certificate and Accreditation process did not specifically include testing of whether trial accounts could access live reporting data, including authorisation or access controls for such access. As per my response to written parliamentary question 33140 (2026), trial accounts were not intended to access the Student Monitoring, Assessment and Reporting Tool (SMART) production environment. This is also my response to written parliamentary question 37851 (2026).
